2023 Banquet Highlights
The YES Banquet was a memorable night of celebration and appreciation. A crowd of nearly 200 enjoyed a magnificent evening in the ornate and historic Pfister Hotel. The ambiance, food, and remarks all combined for a beautiful tribute to YES and to the Pillars of the Community Awardees, Scott and Shelley Israel.
Pillars of the Community Award
Mr. Benjy Israel and Rabbi Yehuda Israel, two of the Israel sons, and Rabbi Benzion Twerski spoke about the many worthy attributes of Scott and Shelley Israel and their volunteer efforts for our community and for YES.
In his acceptance remarks, Scott Israel shared how their involvement with YES began with YES's inception, as Rabbi Michel Twerski shared a vision for how YES would be an essential part of a flourishing community.
"We are overflowing with pride in our community, and we are overflowing with pride in our children," said Scott Israel. "We are very grateful to YES for the education of our children. The life accomplishments of our own children are due in no small measure to the dedication of the principals, rebbeim, moros and teachers at YES."
